Default woot finally got a 9500ix

so i have a 200mile daily commute from the bay area to monterey, then from monterey back to bay area, then to another job in the bay area. after much speeding and almost getting ticketed quite a few times simply because seeing isnt always going to be the best defense i decided to grab the 9500ix. almost got the v1, but falses were a concern. plus i got a hell of a deal on the 9500ix new!

i currently have it mounted in the dot matrix, stealthy. it looks slanted, but i adjusted it after this pic and its actually still mounted in the dot matrix, yet it has a clear view of the windshield outside of the dot matrix (if dot matrix did affect performance it shouldnt now). hardwired via the smartcord, as well as a kill switch installed under my handbrake in case...god forbid i get pulled over

    (oops cant post pics...)

Raw sensitivity between the V1 and the 9500ix are pretty close with the V1 have a slight overall advantage. You will be happy with all the features having a GPS RD adds. Also, the 9500ix eats up 34.7 GHz Ka better than almost any other windshield on the market with the exception of the V1. (according to Guys of Lidar testing they run pretty close)

Look out for laser. Your 9500ix will be no match for any laser gun.

X2 No RD can save you from police laser. Have you thought about getting a laser jammer?

I think you will be happy with your choice. Can't go wrong with either one as they are both outstanding RD.

You need a jammer for laser...LI or Blinder.

about the laser...id love to get one, but they're highly illegal in cali. might think about getting one in the future, but a corolla doesnt seem to have good places to hide them w/o affecting performance

heres a pic showing my RD mount. its higher in this pic than where it is currently. currently i have it mounted in the dot matrix as well, but the back has a clear view of the windshield so its still a stealthy install, especially with the hardwire and kill switch.

Really? As far as I know, they are a class 1A infraction, which means $99 fine and no points. I just got a class 1A infraction for smoked tail lights and I think it was $127 total with all the court fees and stuff. I've been using laser jammers for a pretty long time here in SoCal, been pulled over a total of 3 times for bogus stuff and never had a problem.

Mount it high, straight and level for maximum performance. Mounted at a crazy angle like that will kill sensitivity.

Having a clear look out the back of the car, which I think you're trying to say here, is totally irrelevant.
