Hello from North Carolina. I originally purchased my first original Escort way back in 1980 while attending high school. I had just gotten my first car and my first speeding ticket.

Back then the highway patrol used these high power X band radars. The Escort would give you minutes warning LOL.

Through the years I’ve had about every Escort made. Then I got the Valentine One around 2000. I love the V1 and have purchase a total of 4.

Just recently I decided that I couldn’t take any more false alerts and I have ordered the new Redline. I will miss the V1’s arrows but I’m hoping for a much quieter detector.

The next couple of weeks should tell.

Welcome, if you want fewer falses I don't think the Redline is going to be alot better than the V1 in that department. You might want to look into a 9500ix if falses are a big concern.

I still have a feeling the V1 will false slightly more than the Redline. Faster reaction time comes at the price of falses.

What could you possibly have heard that would make you think the Redline is quiet? Somebody lied to you.

X2 NOTHING can replace the V1's arrows.

If quieter is what you want, trade the Redline for the ix. It's not as sensitive as the V1, but it's not bad. I tried one and the radar detection was good, laser detection terrible, but laser on a RD is worthless anyway. All it does is notify you that you are about to be pulled over, if it even alerts.

Yeah, I plan on trying the Redline and if I don't like it I will probably send it back and get the 9500ix.
