sure, it's only got a 2.8 V6. But she can break the speed limit, and she's only got 100k's on her.

I work in the industrial refrigeration industry. Mostly ice rinks, freezer plants, etc. Ammonia and freon based systems. And yes, if your car AC is broken, I can probably troubleshoot it.

Joined this forum because I'm planning on doing some upgrades before the summer of 2010. Been lurking for awhile and it seems like a great place to get unbiased and factual information.

Anyway. Lookin forward to meeting you guys, and hopefully contributing towards the community.

Thinking about installing a V1 w/ CD as well as a LI dual (and all mute/killswitches) before the summer of 2010.

I went on a road trip throughout the BC interior a couple months ago, borrowed my friend's Rocky Mountain Radar. There were at least 2 instances where the thing stayed silent as I drove past a couple speed traps. A couple months before that, I got hit with a 200 dollar ticket while driving to work in the morning.

Not that I feel it's necessary to go above the PSL. But sometimes when a big stretch of road opens up in front of me and traffic is light, I enjoy flooring the gas. And if I'm going to spend any money, I prefer to spend it on something that does what it's supposed to.

Right now, I have no equip. Won't really need it for the coming season, as I'm rarely speeding excessively when it's piss pouring rain, or there's frost on the road.

But I like my gadgets. And I guess it's better to be "safe" than sorry.

Any suggestions? The V1/LI seems like a pretty decent combo. I hit the highways almost every day, to work and from jobsite to jobsite. Will probably have it muted in the city. If you saw the way people drive around where I live (Richmond, BC), you'd understand. Anything more than 20km over pretty much guarantees you a hard brake every block at a red light, or screeching your tires because some asshat that bribed his driving instructor still doesn't understand the concept of blindspots or yielding.

And then they do the little smile and the hand wave, and think that it automatically pardons them from being a person that shouldn't be on the road in the first place. Sometimes you can't even see the smile, because there's some kind of retarded sun-visor fad that's flared up. And it's not just a visor, it's a full-face tinted shield that pretty much looks on par with a welding helmet.

Your on the right track. The V1 and LI is a great combo. My suggestions are to mount the V1 high near your RVM. When you are ready to install the LI, post a pic of your vehicle on the forum so everyone can recommend jammer head placement.
