Hello from Puerto Rico

I am new to the forum and I find it interesting to read all the valuable information that can be exchange by RD just like me. I currently have an Escort 9500i which I bought after my beloved 8500 x50 (z7) felt from my hands and broke and I just pulled the trigger on a V1 which should be in hands tomorrow 

welcome to the forum. some of my friends go to the univ of PR....Good choice on the Valentine one. The 3.872 is an exceptional device. I would suggest leaving the Rd in standard mode without any changes to the settings and after u learn the beast make some changes like k band auto mute, Ka guard off......

I was thinking on going X band off. LEO's dont use X band on the island, but I dont know how to turn it off. Any advice/guidance for a former Escort user
