Default new from Cleveland OH area

Hey whats up my name is Garrett, i'm new here from the Cleveland Ohio area. I am new to the radar scene. I brought a budget whistler xtr-105 new from ebay. I'm wondering your guys thoughts on the range and detection of this detector. I heard whistler makes good detectors.

    Welcome
Whistler products are respectable but this is game of you get what you pay for. I think you catch my drift.

Although there are varying viewpoints, the consensus best budget RD is the refurbished Escort 8500 directly from Escort's Ebay page for $150. It comes with a 6 month warranty and performs reasonably close to the top RDs sold today.

However, when I have been to Cleveland, I've seen a lot of laser and no RD can save you from that.

yea, i did my research and found the cheapest buy so I know what you mean lol. It was all I could afford right now. I plan on upgrading to a valentine 1 or something about the same or better when I have the money.

That's what I was planning on buying when I get enough money after christmas. I like the sleek design of the escort 8500 vs the valentine 1 for alot more money, could anyone tell me the big differences?
