I'm pretty disappointed with the STi. I hope the Redline will not only be a better RD, but also more reliable.

Your story is unique. The Bel STi probably has the best reliability record of any RD ever made. Pretty strange.

I wouldn't think where I ordered from would make any difference. A new RD is a new RD, right? Both STi's had the latest firmware so they probably weren't sitting on a shelf for a long time.

I know the last one wasn't overheating and I used it in 3 different vehicles to make sure there wasn't a voltage issue specific to the car. Those are the 2 things that cause the STi to display the "service required" message that I know of.

Maybe I should go back to the $50 Cobra
