I would suggest you buy yourself a V1 for the vette and use that cobra and get your self 80 dollars off an escort or beltronics detector using their cash for clunkers program to use on the bike. You also might want to look into getting yourself a set of laser jammers, Allen cops have been using them now more than I have ever seen them use them before. Heres a little video I took of one of them being cute hiding behind a tree on exchange but failing at the ambush by leaving his radar on as well as getting jammed by my blinders:

Ouch, I'm thinking 9500ci. Let the shifters do some jamming for you.

Howdy there. I live right down the street from you, alma/legacy. I take alma to 121 to frisco almost everyday. Don't really see much on my side of alma, but once I cross the line at Bethany ave. APD is all over the place. I run a belrx65 and it has saved me plenty. Except I/O(caught as soon as he hit the button though). I saw a leo doing laser on mcdermott/alma the other NIGHT. Sitting in the parking lot across sonic by shell gas. He left his radar on..hehe.. Well anyways, welcome to the forum and be safe out there.

Haha. They tend to do that. There has only been one time where they truly ambushed me and that was on my way to school. I live down off of Stacy/Angel so I go down exchange every morning. There was an officer shooting an LTI Ultralyte down by the Kroger on Greenville and Exchange. He had his car parked back behind the fence and was standing on the sidewalk shooting my direction. The blinders definitely saved me there. The Allen PD are insane when it comes to traffic enforcement though. I can't drive home from school a single day without seeing a minimum of 8 cops. The majority of them run 34.7 and 35.5 units but I do see laser once or twice a week so the jammers are definitely useful. McDermott and Exchange are definitely favorites for the APD shooting laser. On McDermott they either sit in one of the Apartment complex entrances or they sit back by the office buildings before Alma next to the Twin Creeks Golf Course(Outrun has a video of them there). Occasionally I see them on Bethany in the turn-arounds past Watters Crossing towards Alma.

I see the Allen PD on McDermott @ Twin Creeks *very* often and sometimes further East at the top of the hill, about .5 mile before Custer. On Exchange, between Alma and 75 early in the morning (before daylight), they like to "hide" in the left-hand turn lanes on the Westbound side. I used to see them pulling the same thing between during the same morning hours on Alma between 121/Exchange.

And, then of course there's the unmarked blacked-out Charger that likes to camp out on Custer close to 121

I've seen him a few times, also a very dark blue one in Allen and then I've seen on two encounters another/same dark blue charger in Plano on Spring Creek/Ave K and he was also watching redlights at Chase oaks and Legacy. Also around 2:30-3:30 is a busy time for them cause of school zones.

Always watch out for school zones, and no right turn on red. I think it's kind of ironic that most of us speed and that's really the only traffic law we commonly break. We also drive safer and are very much more aware of our surrounding. I love it when there is a leo camped waiting for a big fish and I drive by with a grin on my face that I beat him at his game. Course it all catches up to us. One ticket each year for the past three is not fun. I/O, I/O, Laser(ownd!!)

We actually have 2 of those blacked out chargers. I was driving by APD the other day and saw the charger was under the entrance where they like to park it. Turned left on Greenville and there was another one at that Bar-B-Cutie place. I see at least one everyday, they like to come out when I leave school at 12:30. All of those chargers they park in that carpark area that have completely tinted windows and stock rims are also equipped with 35.5Ka radar units and dash cams. I've only seen them make stops a couple times. I've never been pulled over and I go looking for cops just to hope they are running laser.
