Default Im new and need help

Hi everyone, I am new nd am looking for some direction. I have been researching laser jammers and radar/laser detectors for the best combination for protection but every site i check for reviews gives conflicting information. Some people have even said that other sites are frauds. I cant seem to tell if GOL or Laser jammer tests is legit because they both say they test real world scenarios but both give different reviews and both have high rated products that don't exist any more. I would like to know peoples opinions about what course I should take but I want the best product.

On a side note, I used to own a passport8500 X50 blue but it was stolen. When I compared it to a friends valentine the range was pretty equal but my passport gave less than half of the false alerts. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

You found the right site. Compare activity level of this site as to any other. That should tell you something. Check out the "sticky" posts at the top of each category of this forum.

GOL is the standard bearer for independent and unbiased testing, they are no fraud. As far as the best of the best, it depends on your vehicle. Laser interceptor is the undisputed king of jammers, but Blinders aren't that bad either depends on your vehicle and price range. The V1 is best for highway travel whereas the 9500ix is great for city driving. What vehicle do you drive? Pics would be great too. Glad you found your way here, this is the place for the best information on countermeasures.

Money is not an option, I drive an f-250 but I am looking at a bmw750 or benz S550. I cant find the first laser jammer you mentioned, the site says they are no longer in production

Well if money isn't a problem then the best you could do to start out with would be:
    LI Quad or Blinder m47
Beltronics STi-R or 9500ci (custom installed RDs)
    V1
    Good CB
    Veil anti-reflective coating for headlights

That would be a good starting point. If you are looking for valid Laser Interceptor sites, use the search function in the top right to find the thread addressing that issue. I personally use a Blinder m45 bought from Radar Roy on my BMW and it works great.

Blinder or LI are your 2 options here in the states.

Both are great companies and have great customer service.

Blinder can be found on Radarbusters.com, the site sponsor.

If you want independent reviews, trust GOL and look and the test results from groups that are part of this Forum. Many on this site have done their own testing on many different setups, so you can draw your own conclusions.

Radarroy has asked that we keep chatter about LI down and in no way am I promoting LI or directing Ihatetickets to buy an LI, but their website for information purposes will come up if you google the words 'laser' and 'interceptorusa'. Whether you actually clink on the link and go there is up to you. The laser jammer part of this forum has a wealth of information and opinion that can help guide you.

Well, we can talk about it, just can't do any links to the site.
