I sold my BCT 8 (right?) bear tracker mounted/portable HP Alert scanner. Never picked up TN HP. They never talked any on the radio. Does yours work on the TN HP?

I don't pick up THP on the BearTracker. I travel quite a bit in surrounding states, whose State Police and Highway Patrols do set off the BT alert from time to time.

I got pulled over south of Knoxville by a local last year coming from the Smokies. I got hit at night with K I/O. He had only a 2 second tracking record on me, plus I offered him a brownie and a Mt. Dew. Got check for drugs!

Sounds about right. Since KPD got a new chief a few years ago, they really stepped up their traffic enforcement, even buying all new radar and laser equipment. It's now mostly Ka, but they still have a few K units running around. On clear days, they will sit on the shoulders and overpasses of the interstates and use laser (mostly motorcycle officers). This year, they are focusing on commercial traffic, but I'm sure they will still pick on the occasional passenger vehicle.
