Hi,

I've been a member for some time, figured I should finally make a post lol.

I'm Sean, live in Western Australia, drive an R31 Skyline wagon with the mighty RB30E (soon to be turbo).

Currently, I have a Whistler Pro78, which gives decent range and I'm quite happy with it. It's far superior to my old Beltronics unit in terms of detection, despite the lower price. The Beltronics was much better looking, although that doesn't really matter to me.

The next step is a licence plate blocker. Which brings me to my first question... Has anyone tried the Super Protector with a coat of Veil? In theory, this should protect me from roadside cameras, high mounted cameras, and laser. Unless, of course, the Veil reduces the effectiveness of the Super Protector?

Alternatively, is there a plate lens out there that protects me from all 3?

only way to fully protect yourself from laser is a laser jammer. there are no real cheap alternatives. all you get is a false sense of security.

Yeah, a jammer is the next thing once I have the money. Ideally I'd track down a 9500ci for cheap, although I don't like my chances. The lens seems like a cheap way of getting a little extra protection though, even if it only slightly reduces the chances of them getting a lock on me.

Would the Veil over Super Protector idea work essentially the same as a Laser Shield & Super Protector in one though? Or would it just render the Super Protector even more useless?
