Welcome to the forum man, like I say to every new VA member, sorry to hear you live in that terrible state. #1 Worst speeding laws next to NC. You should check out jammers because you will need em. There's a handful of members from VA here. Talk to them.

I actually prefer to live in a state where RDs are illegal. In my area, Police assume that since they're illegal, hardly anyone is using them and therefore they don't have to use any anti-RD tactics. They leave their radar on all the time around here and I constantly pick them up a mile out. I've never had to deal with an instant-on event here either.

When the recent VA bill to legalize RDs failed to pass, I actually breathed a sigh of relief.

But yes, the speeding laws are terrible if you get caught.

    Welcome, what part of VA?

My family can date their roots in VA back to 1620, and I spent most of my life there. Other than the speed laws it's a wonderful place.

Hampton Roads. I've been here since 2000, and wasn't too happy with the first few years. But after being here so long, it's grown on me.
