Hi Guys, been browsing the forum for a while and finally decided to register. Student at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and I drive a 2006 Charger R/T with several modifications. Currently using an Escort 9500ix and blend mount. Looking to pick up some laser counter measures in the near future. Would love something to integrate with my passport.

It's brilliant black with satin black rims. Currently looking into having it repainted satin black though.

Laser Interceptor Quad (two heads on the front and two on the back) for front and rear laser protection. Or, if you just want front protection, you could go with the Laser Interceptor Dual.

Yeah go with Laser Interceptor. If I remember correctly it has the little sparkle flakes in the paint.

Looks like that's what I'll be picking up then...does it integrate with the Passport 9500ix at all? What are your thoughts on the escort unit? I see a lot of people run valentine 1 or even run two detectors. I want this thing to be nearly invisible.

Yes, it's got the flakes in the paint, very pretty color but as alluded to earlier, I am a fan of the satin black so sometime this summer I'll be going with that.

You'll find that most here are not fans of the Blend Mount, because it puts the detector right at eye level for both thieves and LEOs.

Looking to pick up some laser counter measures in the near future. Would love something to integrate with my passport.

The only laser jammers that integrate with your 9500ix are the Escort ZR4s and they don't perform anywhere near the LIs.

What are your thoughts on the escort unit?

I personally think the V1 is better than the 9500ix. It really depends on whether you drive mostly highway or city and whether you can tolerate the false alerts the V1 gives you. For me, I drive mostly highway where there aren't too many false alerts. Plus, I'd be lost without the V1's arrows.

You guys bring up some good points, I've got a 50% tint on my windshield, so I haven't had much of an issue with people seeing in car with the Blend Mount.

It also looks like I need to go with the laser interceptor for jammers...where's a good place to purchase those. I mostly do city driving with the occasional highway driving, I really like the GPS for the 9500ix though it would be nice to have some arrows.
