    Default Hello from Montreal!

    Hello

I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and in my country Radar Detectors are illegal.

Anyway I'm still considering buying a Beltronic STi Driver for the TotalShield™ Technology and overall performance

I figured I would mount it lower on the windshield so the cops won't see it but where do should I hide it if I get pulled over for whatever reason? Under the seat? In the glove box? Under your shirt?

I like the custom install of the Beltronic RX45 and I wish it would include the TotalShield™ Technology or that there was a custom install for the Beltronic STi.

    Welcome,

You are almost correct. In your province it is illegal. But not all off Canada.

    Western Canada they are Legal.

Lots of great advise here for u.

Several Detectors. Bel STI, STIR good luck finding one. Approx $599.00 last time on ebay.
Escort Redline those who have it love it. 9500ci includes a Jammer. very expensive.

Welcome to the forum. Your two choices for a stealth windshield mount RD is the Bel STI and the Escort Redline. Do not mount it low. Mount it high on your windshield behind your tint strip. Be sure your tint strip is nonmetallic and also hardwire your detector.

Have you thought about the Escort Redline? Granted a little pricey, but has some great performance compared to the STI, IMO. As for where to put your RD when pulled over I would guess anywhere out of immediate site, also I mount my RD high inside a visor holder for a semi stealth look but that might be too much exposure for you in your area where RD's are illegal.

Welcome. I just joined this site and it is a wealth of knowledge. I live in Ontario and have an Sti-Driver - however, I would get a Redline because it seems superior to the Sti-Driver and is also undetectible.
I am using a Visor mount. The detector is covered up completely behind a layer of fabric. I detect Radar but do not detect Laser this way. I have hardwired it with a kill switch.

Then get the Escort Redline. It is more sensitive than the STI and also has "Total Shield Technology" making it immune to radar detector detectors.

Also, you can buy this visor holder for itso that you can conceal it:
