Default New to this forum and a question.

I have recently upgraded my radar detoctor to an Escort Redline. I've used a bull**** Cobra detectorfor 2 years, which I have to say, saved me on quite few occasions. It failed me once when it didn't even make a sound and i got clocked at a decent speed, and once when I was being stupid and didn't slow down doing 30 in a 15. It was a nice, sunny summer day and I was driving on a beautiful, twisty road in a park Upstate NY. It went off from around the curve and through trees which later, after getting all my steam and pissiness out for being a moron and not slowing down, I realized was pretty impressive. So I drove with that Cobra till now, being smatrer about it obviously, I finally decided to upgrade to a Redline. I did a little bit of research, reviews, reviews, more reviews and this forum... I now realize that I made a right choice and all that money will not be missed.
I always wanted to get a laser jammer and now that i've got the Redline, I want to complete the set. However I think finding the right jammer is more complicated then getting a radar detector. There seem to be more scams and propaganda when it comes to jammers. As an example, I was all about getting a Laser Star and beeing the ****, then today after looking into more and more information, and having to work through lunch because I didn't get any work done due to my "research", it was clear to me that that product would be a really bad decision.
I am swaying towards a LI now and I just wanted to ask around on this forum what those with experince have to say about a newbie trying to get a jammer?
    Thanks for reading.

    Welcome to the forum.

LI is the best performing laser jammer hands down but if your car is smaller, you can deal with a Blinder system just fine at less cost.
What kind of car do you drive?
    What color is your car?
If you want the best of the best, LI is what you want.

Welcome. You might want to check out the "Guys of LIDAR (GOL)" forum, they've put together some good stats on how each jammer performed.

Thanks for the input. I was swaying towards LI, I figure if I can afford one then go with the best. Just wanted a little confirmation since the best info is usually on the forums these days. I drive a vw gti and it's red, probably not the best color when it comes to the law. It's a pretty small car and it seems to have a perfect space for the heads in the grille.
