Hi from NY, help Bel RX65 vs Escort 9500i

Well I am new to this forum here. I recently got a ticket and decided to get a radar detector and landed up here to get expert opinions.

I did some search on net and brought my choices down to Bel RX65 vs Escort 9500i. My primary goal is to avoid these sucking cops on highways where they hide in unimaginable places. In city I am mostly careful and within limits all the time. So, I was looking for suggestions to decide which radar is the best to go for. My budget is around 300-350 max.

Any input is valuable and appreciated.

Welcome to the forum and between the two I would pick the 9500I. But if I had $300 -$350 to work with. I would save my money and go with a Refurb 8500($150) from Escort.
