Newbie Questions, escort passport 9500ix and total package suggestions

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to get that nasty 0 off of my post counter.

I think it's long overdue that I join this site and ask the pros how it's done.

I just got a "reckless driving" ticket for going 16 over in Southern Virginia, which is one of the biggest speed traps around, I found out later.

Anyway, I would like some advise. Considering the 9500ix (digging the gps capabilities) but I live in Virginia (right now) and need a low-vis or "anti-theft" option. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm open to the an all around deal as well (jammer, scanner, whatever), what equipment should a guy think about buying who might buy either an M3, Audi S5 or S4.

I travel the highways on long trips about 10 times a year and my daily commute is about 60 miles.

Sorry if this is totally redundant, I need to look through the site.

The Escort 9500ci. Unfortunately, it comes with the useless "Laser Shifters", which are a lot of extra money for nothing. It's the best remote mount going though.

STi-R's can still be found if you look hard.

Other than that your choices for VA are 9500ci, Redline and STi.

Then you will need laser jammers, Laser Interceptor or Blinder are your only choices depending on the vehicle.

@category 4 thanks for the info. I've already looked into getting a sti-r, like you say, they're still out there, but getting expensive

@hanta - definitely fighting the ticket, have a lawyer saying I can prob get off on it since it was only 81 in a 65 and me being a veteran, my record being pretty clean, etc...

Redline or Sti will be your best as others have already said. If you can afford the Sti-r then jump on it.
