Have a Bel Vector 940... but seems I am wellll behind where I should be. I count on my detector all day every day (I drive about 100 miles a day).

What part of California do you drive ?

I'm guessing V1 would be your best bet.

The V1 is perfect for highway but if you do any city driving then you might want to consider getting a cheetah 100 with the V1 interface to calm the false alerts.

I don't know how you guys ever made the decision on 9500ix vs. V1.... driving myself nuts these last few days. Situational awareness vs. false alert suppression. On this test, the Escort outperforms the V1 (but then on some other website it said that test group doesn't like Valentine)...... on that test, the V1 smokes the Escort...... geez!

yes, I live in So Cal, and its false alert central. But, I pulled the proverbial trigger and ordered the V1 about 10 minutes ago! I hope with some settings it will be relatively quiet(er) in the city. I love the idea of the counter and arrows. There is a 30 day guarantee, so if it doesnt pan out, Escort here I come.

Yeah, you can give it a try for 30 days and if it don't work for you then go with the ix. If you do any highway driving at all well the V1 will be better but the ix will give you more than enough warning also.
