    Default Hello from the UK!

    Hello to all,

Found myself on this site a few times over the last year or so, very useful, helped make my decision to buy an LI jammer for my M3.

Thought I would join up and be part of the community.

Been using jammers and detectors since I got my license.

    Very informative site.

    Thanks

    DoZZa

I have had a few over the years, I had some good ones with an LT400, my LI has only been on the car for a few days and I have not encountered any threats yet.

I dont currently have a radar detector, I have been looking at the V1, but am a bit worried about the amount of false alarms that will occur due to the adaptive cruise control that is fast becoming a standard option on new cars.

I like the idea of the V1 as it will interface with my LI.

But as mentioned above, the false alerts from ACC is concerning, it wouldnt be wise to disable K band for me as the UK GATSO uses K band. X band I can do away with completely.

    Thanks

    Hmm.

Most ACCs are laser based so the LI may alert to them also unless you have been coming across some K band ones which all RDs will alert to anyway. Some Mercs have them IIRC.

I would not rule out the V1 if I were you all the same TBH. I have not had any problems with laser ACCs here yet so it may not be as big a problem as you think or that might just be over here too lol.

I have definitely enjoyed my V1 experience so far though .

Best thing to do of course is to take the time and research before buying an expensive RD to make sure its the right one and you are definitely in the right place to do that .

Interesting, I was under the impression that the ACC was radar and not laser based, if thats the case then the V1 is for me.

Just need to configure it properly for UK use.

Is Ireland much the same as the UK in terms of speed traps or do you have different types of threats?

    Thanks
