Hello from a lurker

I have been reading quite a bit on here for the last couple months, but now I've set up an account...finally.

Within the last week I broke down and bought my first (tangible) CM, a Whistler XTR-695SE. So far it has been quiet in terms of police radar/laser, but I haven't had a chance to test it extensively. I wish I had the budget to acquire a V1 or an Escort, but for now the Whistler was all I could manage to grab.

Hopefully I'll learn quite a bit more being here.

Alright, that's similar to what I'm running now, with the exception of POP. Why is it better to keep it off, just to avoid falsing?

Well since I have only had it a week, I have no complaints , but hopefully it will turn out to be a very handy device.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure why. The reason why I suggested the above settings is because Michael B, Whistler engineer, suggested them to me when I bought my Whistler Pro 78SE. Ask him for more details.
