I think the fine is around 100-125 if it is an infraction and 400-500 if they get you for misdemeanor. You would have to have 4 or more jammers in your car though for misdemeanor.

Correct, no points against your record. That is only if you get caught. If you turn it off after you slow down and let them get a reading, they'll be happy to see you going the speed limit, and you drive right on.
