    Default Greets From Central PA

Long time radar detector owner, not necessarily good ones :-)

First one was a Cobra Trapshooter. Moved onto 2 Uniden's (2000 & 6100). Currently have a Bel Express 926 that doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. Uniden to a Bel!

Just purchased (waiting to be shipped) a Whistler Pro-78 SE.

I have an hour commute up I-81 everyday...construction zones, 55mph "Safety Corridors" (ie double fines), trucks, college commuters, out-of-state let's drive in the passing lane drivers, etc, etc

PSP are always hiding behind a bridge or just over a hill. Looking forward to seeing Ka Max Mode & RSID in action. I'll be posting in the Whistler group how good/bad the 78 SE is at picking up any radar I-81 throws at me...

Correct. You won't find any benefits of the freq because K is only 24.150. PSP are very sneaky and almost always use I/O. I haven't seen C/O in a while. Also if they are using their handhelds I don't know how much the whistler will protect you. Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forum. Redline or V1 would work be better for PSP

Yeah, basically your only threat will be I/O bursts of K band in front of you, no cruisers sneaking up on you from behind w/ I/O. Redline ( although real quick bursts may be a problem) or V1.

Stationary, yes. It's required by law.

K band only, not necessarily. State troopers can only use the radar devices that law allows them, which currently consists of 21 radar guns. Almost all are K band, but a few are Ka (for instance the Stalker Dual DSR)...they aren't widely used though so aren't much of a threat.
