New guy from MN

I reside in the Bloomington Minnesota area. I've been doing a lot of searching and stumbled upon this site. I am simply amazed by the wealth of info on this board. I finally ordered a used Escort X50 blue LED but don't know if I made the right choice. I got it just before finding this site. After a few hours of reading, I'm starting to wish I had gotten a V1 instead

I'm still waiting for it to get here though so we'll see. Being a recent college grad, I don't have much cash to shell out either. I have a lot of questions but will do more reading before posting to avoid asking something that's been most likely repeated. I'm not to familiar with all the terminologies that get thrown around but will catch on.

welcome to the forum, you choose a good detector, however buying used is usually something not recommended, there could be a number of things wrong with the detector, plus it will not be covered under any warranty. If you need to look up the terminology of everything the FAQs really help out

Thanks guys. Will definitely be looking at the FAQs. I know used isn't always that good but the price was really great and it comes with a 7 day return policy. So I figured I would try it and see. There was a Valentine V1 for $150 that supposedly could be upgraded since the software was 10yrs old, but I was a bit hesitant on that not knowing the upgrade price.
