Default New guy here currently in Houston.

Just found this forum from a friend on the Audifans.com mailing list. I'm originally from WI, and also spent 10 years in Montana (yes, during the "reasonable and prudent" days).

I've had a V1 for about four years now, and love it. However, it recently died, and I'm going to have to get a new one. Probably pick it up in the next month or so. I didn't have the concealed unit before, but I'm getting one this time, and I'm going to have it modded with the colored LED's.

BTW, I'm a car guy, mostly work on VW/Audi stuff, but love just about anything cool.

My daily driver is an 86 Audi 4000 Quattro, and my track car is an 85 4000 Quattro.

    Tony

Welcome to the forum. Instead of buying a new V1, send your current one to VR for repair. Mike V will get it fixed up and it'll probably cost less than a new V1.

welcome to the forum.... and x2 to what snoopy said, they're usually really good with servicing and updating your old detector for a reasonable fee.
