I have had many radar detectors all the way from the first Fuzzbuster.

My best driving record was 180,000 miles in 3 years with no tickets driving all over the Midwest. I had a BCT7 scanner, CB and a Solo. There were times when only one of the receivers helped out but a save is a save.

Now I just have a Valentine 1 and find that it is more than enough.

But my main driver looks like it was made for a quad LI installation so that will be the next upgrade.

The V1 is a fine choice in the motor city. I drive all over the D 6 days per week and use mine regularly. I have X and POP off. Not much laser although there is a guy that sits once in awhile on 8 mile just east of southfield. Saw him get a couple people there lol
Watch out in the Grosse Pointes,Farms etc plenty of KA over there.

not much laser, are you out of your mind. Every time I get hit with later it is always someplace in the D. Usually on 94 some place, or when coming in on 96 early in the morning. Watch out for I/O and sneaky traps. I have also seen laser on 275 in any direction.

I-96 and 275 in different cities yes, but it is on the rare side in Detroit. I've been driving all through out Detroit 6 days per week for the last 14 years. Detroit doesn't have the money for lots of laser units let alone enough officers besides traffic control. Budget crunches and layoffs take care of that which has been ongoing for the last 30 plus.
