Actually, I really need some tips from motorcycle riders that use radar detectors/laser jammers. Info on where and how to mount as well as weather protection would be very helpful.

My suggestion is for you to read the "motorcycle protection" section of the forum and post your specific questions there. Lots of people with great information to share.
