I'm in Denver, CO looking at the V1 but can't decide between new or used. Nice to "meet" you all

Welcome to the forum. I grew up in Aurora, lived there for 11 years. As for the V1, go with a new one. The problem with buying used is that the majority of the ones that are being sold used are dead on a radar band meaning they just won't alert. You can also call V1 and pick up a refurbished unit from them directly for $350 if you don't want to spend the full $400 dollars.

Buy new or referb, I would not buy used. We have heard too many bad stories about used detectors....and the cost to repair them.

It's a bad idea to buy a used v1. Lots of risks like getting one that's stolen or broken.

VR sells returned units for 359$ which are identical to new and have a warranty. Definitely the best route to go.
