Hello from Mid MO

I am looking forward to getting to know my unit, and rest of the fellow V1 posters.
I have just made a 4 hour road trip with it, and am still scratching my head on having to reboot the unit, and having come up on an obvious ambush while the detector remained silent.
I trust that my confidence will grow as time passes. My wife's on the other hand...

Hmmm, you had to reboot the V1?!? Something does not sound right. I never have to "reboot". What makes you reboot? This does not sound right....I would send it in for service.

We were traveling along, not doing 5 over the posted limit with the detector quiet as a mouse. I noted a crown vic sitting on the shoulder in the distance. I past the MO HWP, and sure enough at the top of the hill sitting in the median was his partner. Not even a chirp from the detector. I proceeded into a small town with a fast food row, and several store fronts. Again not a peep from the detector. While stopped for lunch, I called Valentine. They asked me to ensure that I started the vehicle, then turn on the detector. It started alerting immediately from the nearby door sensors. This vehicle is a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country Touring Edition. My other car is in my signature. I have not played with it in that car yet.

The bolded part doesn't sound that strange. M hp mostly keeps their radars off unless they're actively hunting. The underlined part does sound like there is something wrong.
