Default Hi, new from Bellevue, WA

Hi, I am fresh of the boat when it comes to Radar Detectors and Laser Jammers. I've been reading some of the post here but there is a lot of lingo and acronyms that I don't understand yet such as I/O LEO etc. Is there a list or post I can learn these?

I've been thinking about getting a V1 for my Camry Hybrid. I know, it defeats the purpose of a hybrid if you are speeding but considering the speed limit in most of Washington is 50-60 MPH and I occasionally would like to go faster since I'm used to California speeds.

If I get the V1 I would like to hardwire it with a concealed display unit. Any recommendations for a good place to get it installed or anyone willing to help me? I'll buy you a few beers afterwards Or, recommendation for the best RD for Washington? I typically stay in the east side (405 Renton to Lynnwood) and the occasional drive to downtown Seattle.

The terrain in Washinton is the worst for RD its 70% hills, curves, hairpins, LOTS OF RAIN, and metro areas (with 30 MPH zones when you really should be going 40-50 MPH). Compared to Cali, it seems the Cops have nothing to do here but issue speeding tickets and setup speed traps. I haven't gotten a ticket yet here but with all the Highway Patrol I see in my morning commute from Bellevue to Lynnwood, I rather be safe than sorry!

Welcome to the forum, I'm in the Lakewood area and you can go wrong with the V1 or Redline for hill, curves and bad terrains. I know the area on what you are talking about I work there at the Boeing Renton plant for many years and have travel in and around that area often. If money is not a object well I would go for the STi-R Plus but if you looking for a good window radar detector the V1 and the Redline is prefect for the area you're talking about.
