Hello RD.net users and fellow Californians…

I must say, this site is truly awesome. The wealth of knowledge I’ve gained from reading in the forums over the past two or three months has been, well…pretty darn cool!

I’m fairly new to this hobby, but I am a technically savvy person so I’ve picked it up quick! This hobby has taken over my life, and taken precedence over my other hobbies and, in echoing many of the members on here: It’s expensive! Meh…

The Valentine One/Redline were my first detectors. I kept the Valentine(3.872) and am thoroughly enjoying it, as I am sure many of you may have read my post in the Valentine One section. Anyhow! My next addition will be an Beltronics STi-R Plus, and I can’t wait to buy it!

Again, big thanks to all the members (many of whom I contacted through YouTube) that have answered my questions and shared their experiences with me.

I'd love to....and maybe at some point, If I get a wild hair I just might! I will definitely be buying an LI Quad when I do...

They are illegal in the state(s) where I live...Even with proper use, with my luck, I'm going to get the ONE leo who knows what a jammer is and loves to punish dearly those who use them...So maybe one day

+1, in IL they do NOT take kindly to them at all and it'll cost you a lot of $$ if caught!! I'd love to have a LI Quad F and R but Po Po says I cant!!

Yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from! Since that's the case, don't do it! You'll get more pleasure and less frustration with a RD.

STi-R plus kicks ass and is definitely worth a shot! It will be your redline's best friend.
