Some areas are masters when it comes to use radar and they use what is called Instant on (I/O). The principle is to leave the radar turned off (hold mode) and turning it on at the last second to get a speed. The only way to defeat that practice is to use a ''rabbit'' so that the rabbit gets hit with radar, your detector hopefully picks it up and you slow down on time. Also, not all police cars have radar in them.
It all depends at what they do in your areas, the more you read on the forum and the more experience you get, the better you will become
