New from LA and OC

Hi All,

New to the forum, I am in Orange County and LA. I have been running with a Beltronics 995 for about 3 years. I moved out here from NYC, got a speeding ticket and went to traffic school. I left traffic school at 5pm, went straight to Best Buy and have been protected since.

Out here the LA and OC cops only seem to use KA band and laser, so I turned off everything else except for KU and POP which never go off much. It has saved my butt at least 20 times the past 3 years... Great investment!

I joined to make sure I am not at risk with anything else I should be aware of here. I know very little about radars and detectors and looking to get educated!

Turn off Ku and Pop, they are not used at all. CHP use Ka and Laser exclusively.

Some local cops use K ... I have had K tickets in Santa Ana and Orange.
