    Since I can't figure out how to start a thread, I thought I'd ask my question here. I read somewhere that the windshields from different auto makers vary as to how much sensitivity is lost when a RD is 'looking' through the windshield. It was recommended to find a known radar source the test distance holding the RD out the window and then looking through the windshield. Great advice, but I don't really want to spend 300-500 bucks only to discover it's useless in my car.

    I have a 2010 Lincoln MKZ. Does anyone know how these windshields affect RDs? Thanks in advance for any input.
