Default 9500ix user thinking about trying the max

Hello, I have used the 9500ix for a few years with great results and wanted to see if the max was worth an upgrade... I also saw that detector tools was having issues with user changed preferences and wanted to know if that was addressed with the latest update.
thanks for any help in advance!

And I'm considering upgrading to the 9500ix. The max looks intriguing. Hefty price tag even with a trade. My only concern was how the display looks on a bright sunny day. More times than not I'm only using audio and voice for alerts anyway. My cockpit is red so I'll probably stick with another red display detector. Afraid I don't know about the latest version of detector tools as I'm still in the dark ages. I'd buy a detector tomorrow if I could get $80 for my RX-65, but $40 on trade is too low. Escort Live is still a joke, but being touted by Escort as a premiere counter measure. Their own forums tell the real story. The price on it has dropped, and I would gladly subscribe if they included the cord with a premium detector purchase, but I won't buy the hardware + pay a subscription. However, the need for a GPS based detector has finally reared it's head. I'm going to purchase once my old detector sells privately. Good luck with the max... I'm sure it's a worth while investment.

The MAX still has "issues" & therefore remains "not ready for Prime Time" yet.If you're considering buying it,that suggests you havn't done your homework completely!

    Welcome to the Forum.

It may just worth waiting a little tiny bit longer till a few more bugs are ironed out.

Waze has become useless, actually worse then EL on an Android phone. Alert distances now only notify you of a ticket at like 1/10mi warning. Really sucks they shortened the alert distance so much, I got a Waze alert and a laser shot at the same time the other day, luckily I had my ZR4's and LI.

Max with 1.6 update has been much better than 1.4, not a whole lot more to change but plenty they can add.
