Default Hey! I've got a a question for the pro's about photocopied liscense plates!

Hey guys, I'm new to the site but I was just curious as to the legality of photo copying a liscense plate and putting it on photo paper and laminating it to replace it with the original liscense plate to reduce lidar...my concern was if this is legal to do in North Dakota! Thanks

Welcome! Each state has their own laws. So paper, even behind a dull clear or dull tinted plastic cover (if allowed) to keep the paper dry, could fool a Leo in day light. But at night with a Leo not seeing the tag numbers good with his head lights as you pass by, could get you pulled over. I would go over it with a marker to make it look even more real. Photo paper has a shine? Not good. Again, it depends on the risk?.....Legal? I think not!......
