I don't think it's ever actually alerted me to any police radar, although the GPS functions with red-light alerts do seem to work well.
I've been looking at some of the newer Escort models and honestly... it's making my head spin. Seems like each brand has a loyal following and they all think their's is best. But even with the brands each model seems to have a following. I'm apprehensive to buy a brand new model (like the Redline EX) but still find myself tempted. My biggest concern is false alarms from the new collision avoidance systems and traffic monitoring that they have along the tollways here (or so I've been told - it might also be construction vehicles setting it off somehow).
I'm going to start reading up here and figure out what seems like a good fit for me. I don't typically drive fast, but with the new car I find myself breaking the limit a bit more than I did with my truck. The new car is a 2017 Dodge Challenger RT / 5.7L w/ 8 speed auto in "Pitch Black".
