(My 1991 Bimmer has a driver's side airbag and 4 wheel disc anti-lock brakes.. not bad for 1991..)

ah ok cool. that's how I did it for my T/A only you have to remove the stupid ECU and it's a major pain in the ass.

Yeah i also had to remove my ecu but it only takes about 5 min tops since I had to take it out before to get it flashed for a performance program :twisted:

i have performed a lot of instalatios, and in about 90% of them i have pull the wires thru original firewall holes... where ecu is or where original instalation goes inside.. on others (realy old cars with no ecu :-) i just make a hole in firewall and seal it with silicone...

While we are on this subject, I did find that the LI install went very smoothly.

From strat to finish it took us about 1.5 hours. And some of that time was spent by me just deciding the best place to install the power/kill switch http://s218.photobucket.com/albums/c...nyinstall3.jpg I think you definitely want that lighted switch to be close at hand so you can kill the device without having to fumble around for the switch.

I found the ideal place to mount the CPU was right under the left side dash http://s218.photobucket.com/albums/c...nyinstall7.jpg

Based on my experience, LI is very easy to install.

i know this will sound bad but i am driving with one also.. :-) and it was not a case until one week ago...

i am changing cars realy often, so i get my self a new nice ride that i will keep for minimum 1 year so i decided to install it... :-)
