Default LI installed today on Volvo S60R

A friend and I installed the LI today. The hard part was figuring how to run through the engine compartment into the cabin. We went in through the door area with the head wires. It's a clean setup and we put the switch in the console next to the shifter like the guy with the BMW did. It looks great. I didn't use the audio wires and the speaker on the CPU is plenty loud enough even with music playing etc. I might have to tweak my laser heads abit to maximize coverage but will leave them as they are for now. Glad to have this setup. The guys at the audio shop wanted $300 to install. It's not rocket science.

So you guys did not get them ran through the firewall? If not please post some pics I am bit troubled by any door installs.

Basically we need pics to see if this guy ripped you off or not. So far its not sounding to good.

you should run the wires into the cabin through the stock fuse box in the engine compartment.

On my BMW the fuse box is located on the left side of the engine compartment right up against the firewall.

Just under the box is a main wiring port where all of the wires from the fuse box pass through the firewall. The wiring port has an insulated boot around the wires at the firewall. (I assume that this helps keep noise, etc. from entering the cabin through this 2-3 inch diameter "port" hole in the firewall). Anyway, we just used a snake to open up the boot and pushed the modular plug ends of the LI heads through the wiring port and into the cabin.

Also the case for some newer VW's and Audis.
