Cheetah wireless kits can now turn off the jammer it's hooked up to with the new keyfob remote kill switch (see the Cheetah section or their website). There are wireless fitting kits available for most of the common jammers, however, I'm not sure if the engineers over at Cheetah have yet to make a wireless fitting kit for the LI. Has there been any word on this development?
as soon as i send them unit they will have it done... i just want to finish up settings software before that so we can relese it all... :-) and lift standard in jammer industry a step higher.. :-)
You have done that numerous times....Originally Posted by interceptor
yes... true, but still ,talking as user now, i am not happy, there is a lot more to be done... and we are working!.. :-)
As I am waiting for you to sign with a US supplier/retailer... :?:Originally Posted by interceptor
I want to buy the LI now. Is your new improvement will be compatible with the current LI? Because I would like to buy a Cheetah system compatible with the LI I will buy now.Originally Posted by interceptor
It is not possible to integrate the LI with any Cheetah equipment yet. (Feb 2008)This means Wireless Fitting Kits, the VizAlert motorcycle helmet display or to get the alerts through the GPSmirror GPS Speed camera detector.
The reason was explained by Ivan (interceptor) above - Laser Interceptor are still working on their product.
Making a new interface involves a substantial amount of time and money - they don't just get magic'd out of thin air I'm afraidSo once their product is stable (and Ivan sends a finished one for our engineers to look at! :P ) we can begin to look at a new project to make an interface.
Until that time, if you want an LI or already have one, you can still buy Cheetah products now to run as stand alone devices or in conjunction with your radar detector. You will always be able to purchase the Cheetah interface for LI later on down the line. (no timescale as yet!)
The only other alternative if you want full integration of all three technologies right now (e.g. GPS Location of red-light/speed cams, radar detection and laser jamming is to choose a jammer that is already compatible.
I hope this answer helps to clarify a frequently asked question.
To confirm the answer to ChaseV's original question, Cheetah's Wireless Fitting Kits for laser jammers have included a wireless kill switch as standard for months now. You can turn your wireless jammer kit OFF and ON remotely whenever you want to.
