LI - dual or quad for my Civic?

Hi,

I was very impressed with the GOL testing and I'm seriously thinking of getting a LI. I reside in Palm Beach County and laser is used quite a bit here. The only radar activity I see is primarily from LEOs driving with it on. Most actual speed traps use laser. This has been an ongoing problem since 2001 or so, perhaps longer.

I drive an 08 Honda Civic. Black with no front plate. I'm wondering if I should invest in the dual or quad heads. I am unsure if laser is used from behind. Every laser trap I have seen has involved a frontal attack. Basically, they laser onoming traffic and have an officer in a bright neon vest walk out into traffic(!) and direct the offending vehicle to pull over. I've also seen some LEOs on motorcycles using lidar, but again, they get you in front and pull out after you pass. I have not seen a rear attack, but I don't know if I would feel comfortable ruling that out.

I am not sure what type of guns they are using. It is most certainly lidar though. My Passport has detected it numerous times.

Any advice is appreciated.

2 heads will easily cover the front of your Civic. The question is, do you want to spend the extra cash to protect the back. Where I live, rear shots are super rare. I used to run the SRX(ZR3s) which has poor rear protection. It saved me 7 times from the front, but failed my only rear shot, costing me a ticket.

I say get a dual, and save the cash for a great detector.

The LI will do good for the front I am also from palm beach, boca to be exact. I have only seen officers using the pro laser III and yhe LTI ultralyte which means they might be getting the new tru speed gun from lti which the LI jams very well.

Well I'm not sure I thought it would cover it but happyass had 9 hammers on his civic and he got a punchthrough on his car quite often.

But I wouldn't take that into consideration because he's far from stealth

Yeah, I just moved from NC. X band is still used there so I had it "on".
