Strange LI false - Traffipatrol?

My LI alerted to Traffipatrol today, about an hour ago. I was sitting at an intersection waiting for the light to change. There was a marked LE cruiser behind me (probably just coincidence). As the light changed and I proceeded through the intersection I got the alert. I wasn't speeding, I didn't really have a chance to. I turned the LI off and continued on my way. I didn't see anyone running lidar. Any ideas what this could have been? The V1 didn't alert.

Me thinks it was LCC. DJ should be chiming in on this soon.

Same thing happened to me. I emailed Cliff about it and here is his response:

"Some traffic lights are also activated by IR and this may have been the cause of the false XR Alert. In most cases, in traffic, it's the LCC from Infiniti SUV's LCC."

Nearly a 100% probability is was an Infiniti SUV LCC.

Okay, cool. Interesting this is identified as Traffipatrol. I have never received a false alarm with the LI but figured that if I did it would be "unknown gun" or some such.

In their infinite wisdom (no pun intended), Infiniti decided to go into the Khz range for their LCC, same as Robot's Traffipatrol XR.

So does it actually effect the infiniti's LCC when the LI is firing at it ??

One would have to be inside the offending Infiniti to determine that of course. I've been meaning to test this theory but have just not had the opportunity present itself to do so. One day!
