What on traffic light causes LI false?

I had a traffic light that always sets off my RD false my LI as well. It said it was a Kustom Pro III or ProLite. What on the traffic light would cause this?

Nope, drove by twice, 12 hours apart, exact same spot. Was going off while I was stopped at the light too.

Did you see my link? It's probably a RLC. They use PLIIIs (or maybe the surveyor version of a PLIII).

There are a couple RLC's in my part of town which fire laser whether stopped or not.

A lot of red light cameras use PL3's. I know the ones over near the Mall of GA use them. Your LI was doing it's job.

Interesting, thought they would use some custom laser system, not a standard laser gun...

Very timely thread!
I installed an LI on 12/24. On 12/26 it went off for the first time, and it just happened to be while I was going through an intersection in Murfreesboro, TN an Old Fort Parkway & I-24 where there is a RLC. I had attributed it to LED tail lights on the car in front of me, but when the LI went off, I was about to make a right-turn, and the car had already made the turn and was 100' or so off to my right.

The LI said "Unknown Gun"

However, I went through there today from the opposite direction, and it did not alert, and I have front and rear heads.
I'll make several runs next time I go through there.
