Default Re: Anyone in MA help test an LI installation?

I had fun with you guys. I'm glad the rain held off.

Sufu's LI was JTG except for a 30-foot punchthrough off the roofline of the car with the PL3 (which doesn't really count as a PT). I got one PT on Iceberq's M27 setup at around 520 feet, also a roofline shot with the PL3. It could be a problem, but unless a LEO aims at the roofline first, there'll be enough time to drop speed (could be more trouble with a Truspeed). Shooting CM was JTG everytime.

PL2 was JTG on every run on both setups.

I also had Sufu shoot my LIs with both guns, JTG in both runs. I think he got my side mirror at a really close range (like <20') but once again, that doesn't really count.

Hope we can do this again some day.

I think I got you on the roofline at like 32 feet, but that was an extreme shot which doesn't really count. I also got Iceberg at around ~30feet with PLII on the roofline.

It was similar to the spot we did our testing. There was a nice hill in one direction so we were able to test jamming on a downgrade. We had to do some driving to find a decent location. The spot Sufu found on Google Maps turned out to be more of a wagon trail than a road, so I took us down another road and had to go a few miles before finding a spot that was somewhat isolated from the houses. Even still, a neighbor came out to check us out, but he was cool.

So you have rear heads now? Post some pics, I'd like to see where you put them.

It's interesting that we were able to get more/better punchthroughs with the PL3 than with the PL2. The PL2 is supposed to be harder to jam, but maybe the PL3 has a narrower beam so the more extreme roofline shots can more readily achieve PT.

I have the rear heads but I still haven't put them on! I just took the car out of the garage for the first time since November this past weekend. I need to give it a good cleaning along with mounting the rear LI heads. I also have a nice set of headers to install and dual 3" off road midpipe

I have been out of loop for a while now. Did you guys meet to test with more guns yet? I would be interested in joining you guys. I have a BMW with Quad LI. One of the heads in the front go off randomly BUT I think it is still doing its job. I would like to test that theory though. I have a replacement for it but I can't seem to be able to get the front bumper off so I can replace it with the good head.
So are you guys meeting anytime during this summer?

There's an East Coast Jammer meet happening May 23rd down in MD. Otherwise though you would need to ask Kpatz, since he owns the guns!
