Define coverage? Are you saying like the old 18" rule that was used with the older Blinder units?

I'd like to suggest that "Coverage Area" is a misnomer when refering to LJ's.
There are two factors that come into play during a laser encounter: Detection and Jamming.
Detection is a matter of whether the laser beam's "spot" happens to shine on the sensor in the jammer head. If it doesn't hit the sensor, the jammer won't turn on. Period.
The size of the spot is a function of beam divergence angle and the distance from the gun to your car. The size of the vehicle and the placement of the heads will determine whether the spot will hit a sensor or not.
Jamming is a function of the strength and type (pulse rate and duty cycle) of signal emitted from the jammer, and the ability of the lens to properly focus the beam so that it will hit the laser source. This is tricky--the shooter can point the laser gun anywhere he wants, but the jammer has to cover an area large enough to "paint" every possible location where the gun could be.
The HP heads have only one receiver in them, just like the regular heads, so detection will be the same. However, with two transmitters with 90* polarity, it will send out a heck of a lot stronger jamming signal when it does turn on.
If you have larger vehicle, with places to mount more that 2 heads, 4 regular heads will give way better detection that 2 HP heads, thus giving you better coverage.
