I've been shot at way less than 500', had time to slow and kill the jammer so don't feed the BS line I did not have time!!

If my rough math is correct... which it very well may be far off... he had ~25seconds where he jammed this LEO (Give or take 5 seconds).

Your jamming tactic will lead to jammers being banned in all states. No reason to ever JTG unless it's ambush style. You JTG just to be an @ss to the Leo.

No you are correct, and at 500 feet you still have enough time to slow, and kill. He did not want to kill the jammers, he had plenty of time and one day he's going to run into SRTGA's 7 foot tall trooper to give him minimally a good butt chewing, or maybe Outrun's LEO who carts him off to jail for a Felony!!!! All for doing something that is stupid. It can be easily avoided, but when you go looking for trouble, it eventually finds you. When it does he'll be back here whining about how unfair the LEO was to impound his car and haul his butt to jail.

While it may be unfair it will still not change the fact that his car got impounded and he's going to be out of a few grand to defend against some possible bogus charge. Or he may get a hard a** prosecutor and judge that decide making him an example would be a good thing and he may spend a few weeks in jail on some bogus charge!!!

The whole point of a jammer is to make it so you don't get pulled over by an LEO shooting laser... but then they use the jammer in a manner which essentially makes them be pulled over...

In that sense:
Using a jammer to JTG... is like buying a condom and cutting the tip off before use...
You're using it so the exact thing you are trying to prevent occurs...

The math that troubles me is the silence of the V-1 at 2,000 ft. At 500 ft my[over the RVM] V-1 is not in the beam and will remain quiet. But at 2,000 it always alerts with the Blinder, and then tells me I've been re-targeted, as I allow him to get my speed.

If he had you at ~2000', you immediately slowed to the vicinity of the PSL, you should then have immediately killed the LI. Why do you care if he shoots your backside, you're at ~PSL. This failure to kill the LI and let the LEO get a speed reading is the first-order sin. Get it together, guys, or we'll all lose these things.

In any event, you guys are easily excitable, and I find that amusing. I had no intent to jam his gun, as in create a "jammed the gun" reading on his gun. And I have no idea if that occurred, as I didn't see the display on his gun.

There aren't enough jammers in Oregon, nor are there enough Police using lidar here, for them to regularly encounter a situation like this, which would be a prelude to a statewide ban.

But hey, if you guys want to get worked up over a save, I'll grab the popcorn for a ringside seat.

So you only had a few seconds from 2,000 ft? How fast were you really going?

If you keep JTG LEOs, they will complain, do some research, find laser transponders, and outlaw them.

Learn how to jam because the way you are going to continue the way you are, you won't be posting here for very long.

His gun wont read JTG or anything other than blank unless he got a PT. The way he knows something is up is when he couldn't get a read on your car over the course of 2000' when typically he gets a reading within a second on his first shot at that same distance.

I understand not thinking to switch the jammer off in the middle of trying not to get a ticket, and most people are not very good at visually estimating distance (see: they really blow), so your first post may of been very inaccurate and led to a lot of the negative comments for JTGing. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt.

The users here LOVE their jammers, and they LOVE having as much of an upper hand as possible against LEOs. They like as many of them to be in the dark as possible as to what we use. So lets all assume you botched the distance, and will be way more weary of switching off the jammer next time you're targeted and everyone can be happy .
