Default Quick question for LI owners

    Quick and simple:

Does the alert LED come on solid or flash when the Gen 8 LI actively jamming?

Working on a little project and "on solid" would make my life much simpler....but I suspect it flashes(blinks)

The green LED on the switch is

-SOLID GREEN (when the unit is switched on)
-FLASHING GREEN (when the unit is actively jamming)

Hope this helps. I guess its more work for you! Are you writing code or something as your little project?

    This helps! Thanks!

You're right, it does involve some code....started out as a simple auto muting device and kind of ran away from me!

The LI already has auto mute wiring.

Yep, saw that in the LI's documentation, for that car's audio system right?

This is more for the alerts coming from my V1....to work similar to Escort's Auto Mute feature. Laser Alerts won't auto mute, but I want the alert information from both the LI and Blinder displayed on the V1 CD.

When I developed my JTK-1 jammer autokill, I interfaced to both the radio mute wire and the LED, and I consider the unit to be jamming when the radio mute goes to ground and the LED is blinking. Since some conditions such as sensor wiring issues can make the LED blink when not jamming, and the radio mute stays on longer than the actual jam duration if it's short.

For your application, you could simply read the radio mute wire if you simply want to know when a jam starts.

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?
