"I'm interested to see how well you do.I never seen a car JTG before would be a first for me.."
That would be a nice install..... but to the other poster, not sure I'd have the guts to do that... maybe a better/improved install with the fibre optic extenders being discussed on the forum.
Also, I think the front is probably sufficient between the HP model and that I always turn on my xenon HID's when driving faster (apparently improve the performance of the jammers / reduce the performance of the LIDAR guns -- just what I've read here a few times). The back tested out pretty well, but this is a reflective car. I've got a Laser Veil kit and was going to do an application for good measure front and back.
You wouldn't have to cut to mount them under the tail lights. That's exactly what the flat brackets are for, and they work great there.
There are a LOT of unanswered questions about HIDs factoring into this equation. And they do not consistently do so. Some do. Some don't. Some do sometimes, but not always. Some do so only when they're on. Some do so even if they're off. No two cars, jammer set-ups, or set of headlights are the same, so what happens on someone else's car is not relevant to your car.
And again, it doesn't matter that they are HPs. If they don't see the shot, they may as well be ZR3s.
Nice install and 996 Turbo!

Front heads could go up a couple of grills.
The problem with moving the front head up is that they will also have to be push towards the outside of the car. The top 3 slots have curved plastic to help move air towards the front radiators and brake ducting.
Which switch did he use? I was think about using a PSE or footwell light switch with the built in LED just not sure if it would work.

The switch he used was the one I circled in the photo up front. I had him replace one of the dummy switches next to the parking break with an un-labeled OEM rocker switch (which is why it's hard to tell which one it is). I'm in the habit now of checking to make sure the LED is one when I get going.
The LI HP's not only jam better they also receive better. This install may do better than you think on the rear. My HP heads on the back of the Vette have yet to be picked off at any distance, while the regulars could be had at under 200 quite easily.
Two of the best shooters here on the forum have tried (Rsatmans and DJ) and both have gotten zero so I fell pretty safe. I would not worry about moving them unless I found a vulnerability. The Truspeed is a perfect gun for finding detection weak spots!!
Nice ride and install BTW!!
