No problem. Were getting the gist of where I was talking about on the front bumper? On top, where the middle section is low right in front of the grill.

So basically you suggest Front - Quad, Back - Dual but I got a question, how many sensors does 1 CPU support? In this case, this setup will need 6 sensors. Which means it may 2 CPUs(4 sensors MAX per CPU)?

I had to buy a second CPU. One CPU does the two heads on front, the other does the four heads on the rear. This also lets me know whether I get a front or rear hit. Since I have a lot of mounting options on my pickup compared to what a lot of cars have, I felt that 4 regular heads would protect better than two HP heads since that gave twice as many sensors to detect hits in the first place.

Swamp has the best idea, dual up front and quad in the rear. Detection is going to be your problem on the rear and having 4 heads spread out back there is much better than 2 HP's.

We just had our Houston Jammer meet and my results were more than pleasing. I JTG'd every gun with a LI Gen. 8 dual (non HP). So, as far as your front, you don't need HP's. The rear will be a different story but since I don't have anything installed for my rear, I can't tell you how to cover it. I imagine it would take a lot though. Maybe a LI Dual up front and a LI Quad for the rear.

Short of drilling your tailgate, you're correct. The problem is being able to split the difference between the tail lights and the plate. The mounting options on a truck are either the lights...or the plate. 4 sensors would work just fine though.

Just looked over the results, man that is awesome to hear how good it did, makes me feel a lot more confident about only putting two heads on the front.

Yes, I'm very happy. Also, I did an individual run with Won Hunglo behind an old LTI 20/20 (pre ultralyte, the brick looking one) and JTG'd it. He said he painted my whole front end and nothing!

Covering just the tail lights and license plate is easy--that's no harder than the headlights and license plate on the front. It's the big cab sticking way above the crack between the tailgate and bumper that is the problem. If the front sensors were mounted as low as the rear, and in the same equivalent location, you'd get PT on the front, too.

I got a pretty good idea on how to take care of it, unfortunately I'll be in Iraq the next 6 months so I'll have to wait a while to do my install and hit up the next meet.
