Third Save!

Coming home last night around 11:45 p.m. heading SB on I95. Maryland state trooper shooting Pro Laser while sitting dark in the median strip. Only got one alert, but I assumed once he could not get a reading, he quickly decided to target the Mercedes AMG that was along side of me. Have to admit, this is usually a radar spot, not lidar so I was a little shocked. And props to the MSP trooper; the lidar encounter wasn't all over the front of the car like most LEOs do; the detector never mentioned LASER.

That is two saves in less than one week! Budgets must be tight.

Yes, it was tested by RadarRob when he installed it. If the trooper got a punch through, he should have come after me since I was +15 PSL at the initial alert. I was in the slow lane when he targeted me and I'm sure that he decided to target the faster moving vehicles in the center and left lanes.

+15 save thats freaking fantastic. You didn't have to JTK? He just stopped shooting? Also IMO the Beltronics detectors can miss some Lidar shots for sure. Escort less, and V1 VERY rarely.

I did JTK but the whole interaction was so fast. Usually I wait to hear what device is being used and turn off the LI during it's second alert, but the LI stop alerting after just "one cycle" and I turned it off when I got down to 65. I'm 100 percent positive the LEO targeted the Merc that was trying to catch up to me. I never touched the brakes, just downshifted into 4th and the Merc gained on me real quick, probably catching the LEOs attention!

My Redline never made a sound when RadarRob was testing! I'm sure that he is so accurate, even the V1 would have trouble. Then again, I could be wrong, but this guy is probably better than 50 percent of the LEOs out there.

Bottom line, I don't rely on the detectors to aid me with LIDAR...that's why I invested in the LI.

I to just now had my first possible save in my new car with the new LI. State trooper on median of the freeway about 300ft on my left. LTI 20/20 and the V1 beep for about a good 3-4 seconds. Thats why i say possible save since i have yet to test my set up. lol

also both LI and V1 alerted at the same time, no delay or anything.
