Default Installed LI Dual on Evo X. Have a Few Questions...

Installed my LI Dual on my 11' Evo X last night, everything went smooth, (state cop buddy is going to test it for me this weekend. He is just as excited as I am)

My question is I'm thinking about getting a 3rd sensor for the rear. Would one be enough? Here is the rear... not many places to mount it.

I was thinking about using one of these... TPX Laser Jammer License Plate Bracket - Laser Jammers at Radar Busters

Mounted on the top of the plate.

    Thoughts?

Unfortunately, a single, centrally mounted Sensor will not provide adequate protection for the rear of any vehicle. Your car would require an unconventional install, under the taillights, to be effective. Located in the LP area of this vehicle will be nearly worthless in my opinion as it is too low and too far away from your reflective taillights.

The rear of the vehicle is much harder to protect and more often than not involves some creative mounting. I have seen installations where a bracket was placed in the groove between the taillights and the body. This might be an option.

    State cop buddy, huh...

Front should be JTG. The rear would be easy to punch through. If you put two heads where your reflectors are, bubbles in, then you might have a better chance.

You need two heads mounted in the vicinity of your tail lights. The inner half of your tail lights are attached to the trunk lid, while the outer half are fixed to the body itself. Installing the heads on the trunk lid would be tougher, I don't know it a standard cable would be long enough.

Your outer tail lights can be removed with just a Phillips head screw driver, while the inner ones will require you to remove the trunk lid liner and some single-use plastic fasteners.

The standard L.I. brackets will fit between the tail lights and the body.

Keep in mind that to remove and replace your outer tail lights they must be pulled straight out and put back straight in, so that if you mount the brackets to the body work of the vehicle they must not block the path of the tail lights.

You could attach the brackets to the tail lights themselves, but unlike the body of the car the tail lights don't have a flat mounting area where you need it.

good, then you can blame yourself when jammers become illegal in your state.
