Believe it or not, I have had several of these extremely close range encounters. Believe me when I say they will happen!

Have you even been stopped or questioned during those encounters? I would think the LEO would just assume they didn't hit your car just right. Whats your thoughts?

These encounters were all over in 3 secs or less. Under 300 ft.
LI goes off, you look while applying the brake, see him and let go of the brake, pass him without enough time to turn the system off. It happens.
While testing over the years, there are some vehicles that are harder to clock than others. Sometimes you lock a vehicles speed in < 1sec. Sometimes it takes 3 secs. Doesn't matter if a tripod is used or if it's freehand, some vehicles are harder to clock than others. Knowing this, I know leos experience this. That's why I have not been stopped. They do not always get an easy speed reading....

If time permits, and you have time to slow down and kill the jammer, do so.

Even if your car radio is not mute enable , you can use a simple relay : find the power wire
feeding the radio , cut it , joint it to the poles of the relay . You can use either the + or - ,
    I prefer the negative.

Feed the coil with the + and feed the - with the mute wire ---as soon the Li alerts , the relay
    will shut off your radio.

The tricky part is to get behind your radio to get the power wires ...at worst you can work on the
fuse protecting your radio , burn it , use the relay to open-close the circuit ...insert an in-line fuse
    to protect your circuit.
